Throttle Body: Service and Repair






CAUTIONS:
- When loosening a Phillips screw which has been firmly tightened, use a Phillips screwdriver that is an exact fit for the screw.
- Do not remove the throttle valve.
- Be careful when removing the IAC (AIS) motor mounting screws, as adhesive has been applied to these screws.

CLEANING THROTTLE BODY PARTS
1. Clean all throttle body parts.

CAUTION: Do not use solvent to clean the following parts since if these parts are immersed in solvent, their insulation will deteriorate. Wipe them with shop towel only.
- Throttle position sensor
- IAC (AIS) motor

2. Check if the vacuum port or passage is clogged. Use compressed air to clean the vacuum passage.
