Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

NOTE: Adjust throttle cables after throttle body removal and installation. Also perform adjustment procedure after throttle cable replacement.

NOTE: Adjust both throttle cables at same time.

Throttle Cable Adjustment:

1. Push button in on throttle cable ratchet. The shaft will pull in. Release both adjusters. Ensure the shafts pull in fully.
2. To adjust throttle cables, push accelerator pedal to the floor. The ratchet will click while adjusting to the proper position.
3. Check the throttle cable adjustment. The throttle bodies should open simultaneously or the left throttle body should open just before the right. If not, loosen the right throttle cable support bracket. Push the bracket forward and tighten. Adjust the throttle cables starting at step (1).
