Throttle Body Replacement

Throttle Bodies:






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, before removing fuel injection components.
2. Disconnect the air cleaner snorkel from the throttle body.
3. Disconnect the Automatic Idle Speed (AIS) motor electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.
6. Remove the throttle body mounting bolts, the throttle body, and the gasket. Clean the throttle body, the intake plenum, and remove all old gasket material

INSTALLATION
1. Using a new gasket, install the throttle body to the intake plenum, with mounting bolts, and a new gasket. Torque the mounting nuts to 9 lb-ft (12 Nm).
2. Connect all vacuum hoses to the throttle body, refer to Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Diagrams/Vacuum and Vapor Hose for locations.
3. Connect the TPS and IAC motor electrical connectors.
4. Attach the accelerator cable to the throttle body.
5. Reconnect the battery negative terminal.
6. Reconnect the air cleaner snorkel to the throttle body.
