Wide Open Throttle

This is an OPEN LOOP mode.

During wide open throttle operation the PCM receives the following inputs:

- Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor

- Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor

- Throttle position sensor (TPS)

- Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor

During wide open throttle conditions the following occurs:

- The PCM ignores the oxygen sensor input signal and adjusts injector pulse width, providing a predetermined amount of additional fuel.

- The PCM disengages the A/C compressor clutch through the clutch relay.
