Door Window Weatherstrip Pull Out

MODELS:

1994 (B7) Stealth

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Front edge of the door glass inner weatherstrip pulls out or is damaged when the door glass is moved up or down.

DIAGNOSIS:

Visually inspect the front edge of the door inner weatherstrip for any damage or signs of being pulled out or pushed down into the door.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 MR153919 Door Glass Inner Weatherstrip (Left)
1 MR153920 Door Glass Inner Weatherstrip (Right)

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing the door glass inner weatherstrip (does not require replacing the trim panel).

1. Remove the door trim panel.





2. Remove the 3 staples holding the weatherstrip to the trim panel (Figure 1).

3. Open the weatherstrip retaining clips and remove the weatherstrip with the clips from the trim panel.

4. Install the new weatherstrip onto the trim panel (the new weatherstrip has the clips and core bar assembled). Crimp the clips to the trim panel.





5. Staple the weatherstrip to the door trim panel in three places (Figure 2).

6. Install the trim panel in the reverse order of removal.
