Neutral Safety Switch: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses this input to determine fuel injector pulse width, ignition timing advance, and idle speed.

OPERATION
Switch sends a signal to the PCM, indicating whether transmission is in, NEUTRAL, PARK, or a drive gear.
