Coolant Temperature Switch Removal and Installation

Engine Coolant Sensor Locations:

REMOVAL
1. Drain approximately 2 quarts of coolant from the radiator drain plug.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the sensor with a suitable socket.

Coolant Temperature Sensor:

INSTALLATION
1. Apply sealant 3M Nut Locking P/N 4171 or equivalent to the threaded portion of the sensor.
2. Install the sensor and tighten to 8 Nm (6 ft-lbs).
3. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Refill the radiator and check for leaks.
