Fig. 32 Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence:

1. Remove exhaust manifold, refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD.
2. Remove intake manifold, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD.
3. Remove timing belt, refer to TIMING BELT.
4. Remove cylinder head in sequence shown in Figs. 30 and 31, noting the following:
a. Remove camshaft sprockets, refer to CAMSHAFT OIL SEAL.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure cylinder head gasket has proper identification mark for engine.
b. Install marking on cylinder head gasket upward and toward the front.
c. Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence to specification in several steps, Fig. 32.
