SUBJECT:
Door Window Glass Adjustment Procedure

MODELS:

1991 - 1993 (B7) Stealth

DISCUSSION:

A procedure has been developed for adjusting the door window glass on the Stealth that does not require the complete removal of the door glass and can be done without any special tools.

Door Window Glass Adjustment Procedure

1. Remove the door trim and waterproof shield (Figure 1).

2. Loosen the attaching nuts and bolts securing the following parts (Figure 2).

3. Raise the window glass to the uppermost position.

4. Press and hold the front inner stabilizer against the glass guide slider and tighten the attaching parts (Figure 3).

5. Press and hold the up stop against the glass stop and tighten the attaching parts (Figure 4).

6. Press and hold the rear inner stabilizer against the window glass assembly and tighten the attaching parts.

7. Press and hold the upper edge of the window glass against the weatherstrip. Measure the clearance between the weatherstrip holder and the upper edge of the window glass. It should be between 4.5 and 6.5 mm (Figure 5).

Measure the clearance between the window glass edge and the delta sash lip end. It should be between 0.5 and 1.5 mm (Figure 5).

If either dimension is not obtained, repeat steps 4 and 5.

8. Open the door 15 to 20 mm (measured at the belt line as shown in Figure 6). The upper corner of the door window glass should just touch the weatherstrip. If not, turn the glass guide front and rear track adjusting bolts (clockwise to increase contact; counterclockwise to reduce contact) as required (Figure 6).

9. Install the door waterproof film and trim.
