Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Location:

OPERATIONAL CHECK
Before removing the vacuum hoses, mark there location to insure proper reassembly.
1. Remove the vacuum hoses from the solenoid valve.
2. Disconnect the harness connector.

Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid Operational Test Hook-up:

3. Apply vacuum with a hand pump to one fitting and check the other fitting both powered and unpowered for vacuum under the following conditions.

Unpowered:
Fitting open: vacuum leaks
Fitting plugged: vacuum holds
Powered:
Fitting plugged: vacuum holds

RESISTANCE CHECK

Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid Resistance Test Hook-up:

Test the coil for resistance.

RESISTANCE
36 - 46 ohm @68°F (20°C)
