Fuel Injector Resistance Test

COMPONENT TEST

Injector Resistor Location:

1. Disconnect the resistor connector.

Fuel Injector Resistor Connector:

2. Measure the resistance between terminal 4 and all of the other terminals, one at a time.

RESISTANCE
5.5 - 6.5 ohms at 68° F

3. If the resitance is not as specified for one or more of the resistor terminals, the resistor is faulty.

HARNESS TEST

Fuel Injector Circuit:

1. Disconnect the resistor connector.
2. Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage supply to the resistor, between terminal 4 and ground.

VOLTAGE
Battery voltage

3. Disconnect the fuel injector connectors.
4. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between each of the fuel injector resistor output terminals and ground.

CONTINUITY
Should not exist
