Idle Speed: Specifications

Idle speed is not adjustable. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls idle speed through Idle Air Control (IAC) Motor. If idle speed is outside of specifications, or is rough, or unstable, inspect and clean throttle body, (if deposits are visible).
After cleaning throttle body perform minimum air flow test.

IDLE SPEED - DURING MINIMUM AIRFLOW TEST
Less than 1,000 miles on vehicle 600-1,150 rpm
Over 1,000 miles on vehicle 650-1,150 rpm
