Air Conditioning Switch: Testing and Inspection

Air Conditioner Switch Connector:

1. In order to remove the A/C Switch for testing, refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES.

2. With the switch in the ECONOMY position (depressed 1 step), check for continuity between each set of terminals. # 1 and # 4, # 4 and # 5, and # 3 and # 6.
NOTE: The positive lead of the ohmmeter should be connected to terminal # 4.

3. Depress the A/C switch to the second step, and check for continuity between each set of terminals. # 1 and # 2, # 1 and # 4, # 2 and # 4, # 4 and # 5, and # 3 and # 6.
NOTE: The positive lead of the ohmmeter should be connected to terminal # 4.
