1. Set ignition switch to Off position.
2. Connect the positive lead of a voltmeter to No. 3 terminal of diagnostic connector and the negative lead to terminal No. 12. The diagnostic connector is located beside the junction block.
3. Turn ignition switch to On position.
4. Read fault code on basis of deflection of pointer on voltmeter.
5. Refer to., for fault code explanations.
6. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
7. After repairs have been made, disconnect negative battery cable from battery and reconnect after 10 seconds or more.
8. With voltmeter installed, turn ignition switch to ON position and verify that a code zero is displayed. If code zero is not displayed, repeat steps 5 through 8 until code zero is displayed.
