Wind Noise/Water Leaks/Poor Glass Fit

This repair procedure involves adjusting the door glass guide track, the up stop, and the delta sash.





1. Adjust the door glass guide track, the up stop, and the delta sash as described in the service manual, using the dimensions shown in Fig. 3A and 3B. (For future reference, write the dimensional changes in your service manual.) Note the following when making the adjustments.

A. When the rear top corner of the door glass lightly touches the weather strip, the opening between the middle of the door outer panel rear edge and the front edge of the quarter panel are shown in Fig. 3C.

B. If it is difficult to adjust the door-to-quarter panel opening to a dimension less than the maximum dimension shown, add a 1/16 in. (1.6 mm) thick washer to the upper rear door glass guide track retaining bolts between the regulator and the inner door panel.
