Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection

Checking Resistance Of The Fuel Injectors:

1. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.

2. Measure the resistance between the injector terminals for each injector.
Refer to SPECIFICATIONS/ELECTRICAL.

NOTE: Measuring the resistance for the injectors on the rear bank (# 2,# 4, and # 6) can be done through the injector connector.

3. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connector.

Rear Bank Injector Connector For Non-Turbo:

4. Measure the resistance between the injector terminals.
For injector # 2 connect and ohmmeter between the connector terminals # 1 and # 2.
For injector # 4 connect and ohmmeter between the connector terminals # 1 and # 3.
For injector # 6 connect and ohmmeter between the connector terminals # 1 and # 4.
Refer to SPECIFICATIONS/ELECTRICAL.

5. Reconnect the electrical connectors.
If the resistance is not within specifications, replace the injector(s).
