Toe-In Adjustment

The content of this article reflects the changes called out by TSB 02-03-94.

TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT

Adjust rear toe-in after rear camber has been adjusted. On models equipped with 4WD, disconnect 4WD tie rod end from trailing arm prior to making adjustments.

Fig. 3 Rear Toe-in Adjustment:

To adjust toe, turn right and left trailing arm mounting bolts on the crossmember side the same amount. At the left wheel, turn the mounting bolt clockwise to indicate toe-in. At the right wheel, turn the mounting bolt clockwise to indicate toe-out.

Fig. 4:

One graduation changes toe by about 0.08 inch.

CAUTION:
1. Adjust the eccentric cam bolt within 90° from the ccentral position.
2. Adjust camber and toe, in that order, and, if camber is adjusted, be sure to adjust toe also.
3. For vehicles with 4 wheel steering, make the adjustments with the 4WS tie rod end disconnected from the trailing arm.
4. On vehicles without 4 wheel steering, make the adjustment with the assist link disconnected from the trailing arm.
