Front Door Latch: Service and Repair





REMOVAL STEPS
1. Door trim and waterproof film
2. Door window glass assembly
3. Door lock actuator
4. Door inside handle
5. Door latch
6. Door outside handle



SERVICE POINTS OF INSTALLATION

6. Installation Of Door Outside Handle
1. Apply a coating of specified grease to the turning part and sliding part of the door outside handle.

Specified grease: MOPAR Lubriplate Part No. 3744859 or equivalent





2. Disconnect the outside handle from the outside handle rod and turn it right to left to adjust the outside handle play.

CAUTION: The rod snap must be replaced.

Standard value: 3-8 mm (0.12-0.31 in.)

5. Application Of Grease To Door Latch
Apply a coating of specified grease to the turning part and sliding part of the door latch.

Specified grease: MOPAR Multi-Purpose Grease Part No. 2932524 or equivalent

4. Installation Of Door Inside Handle
1. Apply a coating of specified grease to the turning part and sliding part of the door inside handle.

Specified grease: MOPAR Multi-Purpose Grease Part No. 2932524 or equivalent





2. Move the mounting position of the inside handle longitudinally in order to adjust the play of the inside handle.

Standard value: 4-10 mm (0.16-0.39 in.)

3. Installation Of Door Lock Actuator





Front Door
1. Assemble the rod holder to the lever of the door lock actuator, and install the door lock actuator to the door panel.
2. Move the lock rod and door lock actuator to the lock position, and assemble the rod holder and lock rod.
3. After assembling the rod holder and lock rod, cover the rod holder securely in the arrow direction.





Rear Door
1. Assemble the clamp to the lever of the door lock actuator, and install the door lock actuator to the door panel.
2. Move the inside lock rod and door lock actuator toward the UNLOCK direction.
3. Assemble the clamp to the inside lock rod.
