SERVICE PRECAUTION

When a technician has a need to access the interior door components, caution must be taken not to disturb the Security Alarm Disarm Switch (Figure 1) attached to the inboard side of the lock on the door handle assembly and the watershield. If the switch and/or the watershield is disturbed and the security alarm system is activated, the end result may be that the engine will only be able to start and then die.

If removal of Security Alarm Disarm Switch is necessary, be certain that the switch and watershield are properly installed and secured with all attaching hardware.
