NS-7D Ignition System Primary Circuit

Complete No Start Test 7, Step C before proceeding.

1. With ignition coil negative wire disconnected, turn the ignition switch to the Off position.
2. Disconnect the 14-way connector from the SMEC, then connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 12 of the connector, and ground.
3. If no continuity is shown, replace the SMEC.
4. If continuity is shown, repair the black/yellow wire of terminal No. 12 for a short circuit to ground.
