NS-16 Fault Code 44 Fused J2 Circuit

Complete No Start Test 12, Step A before proceeding.

1. Place ignition switch in Off position, then disconnect 14-way connector from SMEC.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between dark blue/white wire terminal of auto shutdown relay connector and terminal No. 3 of 14-way SMEC connector.
3. If ohmmeter indicates continuity, replace SMEC.
NOTE: Before replacing the SMEC, check the K14 terminal in cavity No. 3 of the 14-way connector to make sure it is not spread apart causing a poor connection.
4. If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, check wiring from terminal No. 3 of 14-way electrical connector for open circuit.
