NS-13E Checking For A Shorted Distributor Pick-Up

Complete No Start Test 13, Step D before proceeding.

1. With 60-way connector disconnected and the ignition switch On, connect the negative lead of a voltmeter to ground.
2. Disconnect the distributor pickup harness connector.
3. Touch the positive lead of the voltmeter to terminal No. 52 of the SMEC 60-way connector.
4. If voltmeter reads at least 8 volts, replace the distributor pickup.
5. If voltmeter reads zero volts, proceed to Step F.
