Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection

PRESSURE TEST:
1. Disconnect the hose at the carburetor and connect a fuel pressure gauge.

Fuel Pump Pressure Test:

2. Disconnect the fuel return hose from the pump and plug the fuel pump return pipe as shown in illustration.
3. Check pressure while the engine is running.

Pressure @ 1,250 RPM: 2.76-3.63 psi
(0.19-0.26 kg/cm.sq.)

4. Replace the pump, if required.
