Conditions for Setting the DTC
- The Transmission Control Module (TCM) detects that the voltage of the Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor signal is less than 50 mV for 5 minutes continuously. (The TFT sensor signal is short to ground.)

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
- TCM will request the illumination of power lamp and store DTC when TCM detects failures on two consecutive ignition cycle.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/Power Lamp/DTC
- The TCM turns off the power lamp when no further failure detected on the next ignition cycle.
- The Scan-100 scan tool can clear the DTC from the TCM history.
- The TCM clears the DTC from the TCM history memory after forty consecutive ignition cycle without fault while it detects that the ATF temperature is between 0°C and 150°C for 15 minutes continuously.
