Radiator Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the lower transmission oil cooler (TOC) line from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the cooling fans and shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (LZ9) (Service and Repair).
3. Remove radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LZ9) (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LZ9) (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the bolt that secures the radiator to the condenser.
6. Remove the condenser tube clip screw.
7. Tilt the radiator and condenser inwards toward the engine and remove the radiator.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the radiator.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).
2. Install the condenser tube clip screw.
Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
3. Install the bolt that secures the radiator to the condenser.
Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
4. Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LZ9) (Service and Repair).
5. Install radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LZ9) (Service and Repair).
6. Install the cooling fans and shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (LZ9) (Service and Repair).
7. Connect the lower transmission oil cooler (TOC) line to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
8. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LZ9) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) (Service and Repair).
9. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check (Testing and Inspection).
