Rear Seat Number 2 Back Cushion Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear seat number 2 head restraint (1) by pulling the clips (2) out with a hook awl or similar tool.




2. Remove the rear seat number 2 back release handle bezel (1). Refer to Rear Seat Latch Release Strap Bezel Replacement (Rear No. 2) (Rear Seat Latch Release Strap Bezel Replacement (Rear No. 2)).
3. Remove the rear seat number 2 belt opening bezel, if equipped.
4. Remove the rear seat number 2 child restraint tether cover, if equipped.




5. Remove the rear seat number 2 cushion pad protectors (2). Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Pad Protector Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Pad Protector Replacement).
6. Remove the rear seat back latch pivot bolts (1).
7. Spread the seat cushion frame enough to separate the frame from the seat back.
8. Remove the rear seat number 2 center belt anchor bolt, if equipped.




9. To remove the rear seat number 2 back cover, do the following:

* Release the hook and loop retainers at the bottom corners of the seat back cover.
* Unhook the bottom of the seat back cover fabric from the seat back frame.
* Disconnect the bottom and lower side j-channel retainers.
* While pulling the seat back cover (2) up, remove the hog rings (3) that secure the seat back cover to the pad (1) in the middle of the seat back.




10. Remove the rear seat number 2 back panel (1), it is secured to the seat back frame with push in retainers.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear seat number 2 back panel (1) to the seat back frame.




2. Install the rear seat number 2 back cushion cover (2) to the pad (1).

* Hook the lower fabric sections to the seat back frame in the same locations from removal.
* Secure the hook and loop fasteners on the lower corners of the seat back cover.
* Connect the j-channel retainers at the lower sides and bottom of the seat back cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

3. Install the rear seat number 2 center belt anchor bolt, if equipped.

Tighten the bolt to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

4. Spread the rear seat number 2 cushion frame enough to attach to the rear seat back.




5. Install the rear seat number 2 back latch pivot bolts (1).

Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the rear seat number 2 cushion pad protectors (2). Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Pad Protector Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Pad Protector Replacement).
7. Install the rear seat number 2 child restraint tether cover, if equipped.
8. Install the rear seat number 2 belt opening bezel, if equipped.




9. Install the rear seat number 2 back release handle bezel (1). Refer to Rear Seat Latch Release Strap Bezel Replacement (Rear No. 2) (Rear Seat Latch Release Strap Bezel Replacement (Rear No. 2)).




10. Install the rear seat number 2 head restraint clips (2) to the seat back then insert the head restraint (1) and push down to secure.
