Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seats. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (w/o SIAB) (Rear Seat Replacement (w/o SIAB))Rear Seat Replacement (w/SIAB) (Rear Seat Replacement (w/SIAB)).
2. Remove the rear upper finish panel trim. Refer to Upper Rear Trim Finish Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the rear upper finish panel trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Remove the rear seat belt escutcheons. Left side shown right side similar.
5. Remove the rear accessory panel by pulling open.
6. Remove the rear seat belt anchor retainer bolts. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (SWB) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (SWB))Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (LWB w/RPO E59) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (LWB w/RPO E59)).
7. Remove the upper cargo net retainers.
8. Remove the liftgate sill plate. Refer to Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).




9. Remove the rear quarter trim panel retainers usingJ 38778.
10. Feed the seat belts through the openings in the trim panel.
11. Remove the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install rear quarter trim panel to vehicle.
2. Feed the seat belts through the openings in the trim panel.
3. Install the rear quarter trim retainers by aligning the retainer with the holes and then pushing the retainers to secure.
4. Install the upper cargo net retainers.
5. Install the liftgate sill plate. Refer to Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the seat belt anchor retaining bolts. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (SWB) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (SWB))Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (LWB w/RPO E59) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (LWB w/RPO E59)).
7. Install the rear accessory panel by snapping in place.




8. Install the rear seat belt escutcheons.
9. Install the rear upper finish panel trim Refer to Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Install the rear upper finish panel trim. Refer to Upper Rear Trim Finish Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Install the rear seats. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (w/o SIAB) (Rear Seat Replacement (w/o SIAB))Rear Seat Replacement (w/SIAB) (Rear Seat Replacement (w/SIAB)).
