Center Sliding Door Rail: Service and Repair

Rear Side Door Center Track Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.

1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
2. Remove either the right or left rear tail lamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (Service and Repair).

3. Remove the sliding door center track cover rear screw.
4. Open the sliding door.
5. Remove the front center track screw.
6. Carefully remove the center sliding track cover from the center track rail.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the center track cover to the center track rail.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the sliding door center track cover rear screw.

Tighten the sliding door center track cover rear and front screw to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install either the right or left rear tail lamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (Service and Repair).

Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer to Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module Programming and Setup (Programming and Relearning).

4. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
5. Close the sliding door.
