Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud Replacement

Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud Replacement (6.6L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .




2. Remove the upper fan shroud to lower fan shroud retaining bolts.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .




4. Remove the lower fan shroud retaining bolts.




5. Remove the lower fan shroud from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure






Important: Align lower fan shroud to the upper fan shroud with the alignment pins in the upper fan shroud.


1. Install the lower fan shroud to the vehicle.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the lower fan shroud retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Lower the vehicle.




4. Install the upper fan shroud to lower fan shroud retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
