Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Disable Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure






Caution: Refer to Restraint System Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
3. Release the passenger AIR BAG disable switch (1) locking tabs.
4. Remove the switch (1) from the I/P accessory trim panel.
5. Disconnect the passenger AIR BAG disable switch electrical connection (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the I/P cluster trim plate.
2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the passenger AIR BAG disable switch (1).
3. Install the switch (1) to the instrument panel cluster trim bezel.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
