Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear

WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT - REAR

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39822 Wiper Arm Puller

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Ensure the wiper is placed in the park position.




2. Disengage the finish cover (3) from the wiper arm (5).
3. Remove the wiper arm pivot nut (4).
4. Using the J 39822, remove the rear wiper arm.
5. Remove the rear wiper blade from the rear wiper arm.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear wiper blade onto the rear wiper arm.
2. Position the rear wiper arm onto the wiper motor pivot shaft 45 mm (1.77 in) from the bottom edge of the glass (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the rear wiper arm nut.

Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).

4. Connect the rear wiper arm finish cover (3).
5. Inspect the rear wiper system for proper operation.
