Seat Back Heater Element Replacement - Front



SEAT BACK HEATER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT - FRONT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
2. Remove the chrome head restraint trim from the head rest.
3. Remove the seat back release handle.
4. Remove the seat belt guide.




5. Remove the seat back cover retaining tabs (2) along each side of the seat back panel (1).
6. Remove the seat back cover retaining tabs (3) along the bottom of the seat back panel.
7. Remove the left and right seat back cushion side bolster panels.



8. Remove the seat back cover tabs (1) from around the upper seat back panel (2).
9. Remove the seat back cover tabs from around the inside of the head restraint support.
10. Remove the seat back panel.
11. Remove the cover and cushion from the seat back assembly.




12. Remove the hog rings (1) securing the seat cover (2) to the foam cushion (3).
13. Remove the cover from the cushion.




14. Remove the heater element (1) by peeling the element off the pad (2).
15. Pull the heater element electrical harness through the hole (3) in the pad.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater element electrical harness through the hole (3) in the pad.
2. Install the adhesive-backed heater element (1) to the pad (2) by pressing in place.




3. Install the cover (2) to the cushion (3) with hog rings (1).
4. Install the cover and cushion to the seat back assembly.
5. Install the seat back cover tabs around the inside of the head restraint support.
6. Install the seat back panel.
7. Install the left and right seat back cushion side bolster panels.




8. Install the seat back cover retaining tabs (2) along each side of the seat back panel (1).
9. Install the seat back cover retaining tabs (3) along the bottom of the seat back panel.




10. Install the seat back cover tabs (1) around the upper seat back panel (2).
11. Install the seat belt guide.
12. Install the seat back release handle.
13. Install the chrome head restraint trim to the head rest.
14. Install the seat in the vehicle.
