Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front fascia assembly. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Equinox) (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Equinox)) .
2. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front (Equinox) (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the bolts (2).
4. Remove the impact bar from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the impact bar to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front (Equinox) (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the front fascia assembly. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Equinox) (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Equinox)) .
