Oil Cooler Outlet Line ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system.
2. Remove the oil cooler pipe bracket bolt from the oil cooler pipe bracket at the right engine mount strut bracket.
3. Disconnect the upper oil cooler outlet hose from the thermostat bypass pipe.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Disconnect the lower oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler.
6. Remove the oil cooler outlet hoses and pipe.
7. Remove the upper and/or lower oil cooler outlet hose(s) from the oil cooler pipe.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the upper and/or lower oil cooler outlet hose(s) to the oil cooler pipe.
2. Install the oil cooler outlet hoses and pipe.
3. Connect the lower oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the upper oil cooler outlet hose to the thermostat bypass pipe.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the oil cooler pipe bracket bolt through the oil cooler pipe bracket into the right engine mount strut bracket.
Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
7. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant.
8. Add engine oil as necessary.
9. Inspect the oil cooler for leaks.
