Center Sliding Door Roller: Service and Repair
Roller Bracket Replacement - Center
Removal Procedure
1. Open the sliding door in order to gain access to the center roller bracket pin.
2. Support the rear of the sliding door.
3. Remove the pin from the center roller bracket.
4. Position the center roller bracket to the front radius of the sliding door center track.
5. Remove the left or right rear quarter trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Service and Repair) in Interior Trim.
6. Release cable tension. 7. Lift the center roller bracket upwards and remove the bracket from the center track.
8. Detach the cable ends (power sliding door only).
Installation Procedure
1. Attach the cable ends.
Important: Ensure that the power sliding door cable barrels are properly installed into the sliding door center roller bracket cable retaining items located on the roller bracket, then bend the fingers 90 degrees over the barrel ends.
2. Position the sliding door center roller bracket to the front radius of the sliding door center track.
3. Lower the sliding door center roller bracket to sliding door center track down and into the sliding door center track.
4. Adjust cable tension. 5. Position the sliding door center roller bracket to the rear of the track or until the pin holes are aligned.
6. Install the pin to the sliding door center roller bracket.
7. Remove the support from the power sliding door.
8. Manually open and close the rear sliding door in order to verify the door's fit and the door's latch/unlatch operation.
9. Test the cable tension again after manually moving the door.
10. Install the right left or rear quarter trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower (Service and Repair) in Interior Trim.
