Blower Motor Resistor Assembly



BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the blower motor.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor.
3. Loosen the rearward blower motor resistor screws (3).

IMPORTANT: Loosen the rearward blower motor resistor screws. The rearward blower motor resistor holes are slotted.

4. Remove the forward blower motor resistor screw (3).
5. Remove the blower motor resistor (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the blower motor resistor (4).
2. Install and snug the forward blower motor resistor screw.
3. Tighten the rearward blower motor resistor screws (3).

Tighten the screws to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor.
5. Install the blower motor.
