Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Door (Liftgate)

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove liftgate trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate) .
3. Remove the liftgate handle molding. Refer toHandle Replacement - Liftgate (Handle Replacement - Liftgate) .




4. Remove the nuts from the lock cylinder .




5. Disconnect electrical connector, if equipped.
6. Disconnect the lock rod from the cylinder.
7. Remove the lock cylinder from the liftgate.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock cylinder to the liftgate.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the liftgate lock cylinder retaining nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Attach the lock rod to the key cylinder.




4. Connect the electrical connector, if equipped.
5. Attach the lock rod to the latch.
6. Install the liftgate handle molding. Refer toHandle Replacement - Liftgate (Handle Replacement - Liftgate) .
7. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate) .
8. Close the liftgate.
