Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open and support the hood.
2. Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with a grease pencil or suitable marking device.
3. With the aid of an assistant, remove the bolts from the upper hood hinge.




4. With the aid of an assistant, remove the hood from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. With the aid of an assistant, install the hood to the vehicle.




2. Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





3. With the aid of an assistant, install the bolts to the upper hood hinge.

Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Adjust the hood as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment (Adjustments) .
