Intake Manifold Installation - Upper





1. Install the upper intake manifold gaskets (516).
2. Install the upper intake manifold (500).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the upper intake manifold bolts and studs (501, 508). Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the threads.
^ Tighten the upper intake manifold bolts and studs to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the throttle body seal (513) and the throttle body (514).

Important: Do not tighten the throttle body bolts until the heater outlet pipe is installed.

5. Install the purge valve assembly (510, 511) and the bolt (512).
^ Tighten the purge valve bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
