Handle Replacement - Liftgate

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the license plate pocket.
2. Cut the crimped end off the lift gate handle pin.
3. Remove the lift gate handle pin.
4. Remove the lift gate handle.




5. Remove the lift gate handle lever bracket.




6. Remove the lift gate handle spring.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the license plate handle lever bracket into the slot in the license plate pocket.




2. Install the lift gate handle into the license plate pocket.
3. Install the lift gate handle spring to the lift gate handle.




4. Install a new lift gate handle pin.
5. Crimp the lift gate handle pin with long nose pliers.
6. Install the license plate pocket.
