Camshaft Cover Installation - Right





1. Clean the sealing surfaces on the camshaft cover and the cylinder head.
2. Apply GM P/N 12346240, Canadian P/N 10953493 or equivalent to the cylinder head at the points indicated.
3. Install the new camshaft cover gasket to the camshaft cover.
4. Install the new cylinder head side seal to the cylinder head.





5. Install the camshaft cover (1) to the cylinder head.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Using new seal washers (3), tighten the 4 nuts (2) on the camshaft cover (1).
- Tighten the nuts to 10.5 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the ignition coils.
8. Install the ignition coil cover.
