Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection - Upper





1. Clean the upper oil pan (1). Remove all the sludge and any oil deposits.
2. Clean the mating surfaces of the upper oil pan.
3. Inspect the upper oil pan for cracking near the pan rail, and the mounting points.
4. Inspect the upper oil pan for cracking resulting from impact or flying road debris.
5. Repair or replace the oil pans as necessary.
