Glow Plug - Bank 2

GLOW PLUG REPLACEMENT - BANK 2

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the wheelhouse panel.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
4. Remove the glow plug nuts from the desired glow plug(s).
5. Remove the harness from the desired glow plug(s) (1).
6. Remove the harness from the desired glow plug(s).

IMPORTANT: On the Federal Emissions equipped vehicle, there is a buss bar connecting the glow plugs on each bank of the engine.

7. Remove the desired glow plug(s).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the glow plug(s).

Tighten
Tighten the plug to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

2. Install the buss bar and wiring, if equipped.
3. Install the glow plug electrical nut.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
5. Install the wheelhouse panel.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
