Power Window Switch: Service and Repair

SWITCH REPLACEMENT - SIDE WINDOW AND MULTI-FUNCTION

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the console shift lever bezel from the console.




2. Remove the fasteners from the console shift bezel.




3. Remove the console shift bezel.




4. Remove the shift bezel switch membrane.




5. Remove the shift bezel switch assembly screws.




6. Remove the shift bezel switch assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the shift bezel switch assembly into the console bezel.




2. Install the shift bezel switch assembly screws.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




3. Install the shift bezel switch membrane.




4. Install the console shift bezel.




5. Install the console shift bezel fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

6. Install the console shift lever bezel to the console.
