Folding Top Strikers Replacement - Rear Upper

Removal Procedure





1. Cycle the folding top open 100 mm (4 in).
2. Stop the folding top at this point.
3. Remove the front headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.




4. Using a grease pencil or suitable marking device, mark the location of the folding top rear upper strikers to the folding top rear panel.




5. Remove the folding top rear upper striker fasteners.




6. Remove the folding top rear upper striker from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the folding top rear upper striker to the vehicle.




2. Install the folding top rear upper striker fasteners. Hand tighten only.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Align the folding top rear upper striker to the alignment marks.

Tighten the folding top rear upper striker fasteners to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

4. Install the front headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
5. Inspect the folding top for proper orientation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation.
6. Cycle the folding top closed.
