FOLDING TOP MANUAL OPERATION

MANUALLY MOVING THE FOLDING TOP FROM THE STOWED POSITION
1. Ensure that the ignition is OFF.

NOTE: Verify that the rear compartment lid is fully closed prior to operating the folding top stowage compartment lid. Damage will occur if both lids are operated/opened at the same time. When operating the folding top stowage compartment lid manually, use the aid of an assistant to help with lifting.

2. Ensure the cargo cover is closed.
3. Open both doors.
4. Move both seats forward.




5. In the area behind the seats, locate the 2 sets of cables behind the carpet flaps. The cables on the driver's side are located behind the tire inflator kit. The tire inflator kit must be removed to access the cables.
6. Use the folding top manual release tool, located in the glove box, for the folding top latches and hook into the loop.




7. Locate the loops at the ends of the cables. One has a red band on it, and the other has a green band. The cable with the green band opens the tonneau latch, and the cable with the red band closes it.
8. Slowly pull the green cable at a 45 degree upward angle with the release tool until the cable is pulled tight. You will see the red cable retract as you pull the green cable.
9. Repeat the process for the opposite side.




10. Carefully open the folding top stowage compartment lid.




11. With the aid of an assistant, grasp the folding top front panel and pull upward.




12. Bring the folding top front panel upward until it is seated into the roof latches.
13. Move the seats rearward.




14. Locate the header trim plug and remove by turning 90 degrees and pulling down.




15. Insert the folding top manual release tool into the center header latch to engage the splines on the shaft.
16. Rotate the folding top manual release tool counterclockwise until the latches are secured and convertible top is fully closed.
17. Remove the folding top manual release tool.
18. Install the header trim plug.
19. Grasp the folding top stowage compartment extension panel and lower until it rests against its stops. Use the aid of an assistant to do this when possible.
20. Close the folding top stowage compartment lid.
21. Move the seats forward.




22. Use the folding top manual release tool for the folding top latches and hook into the red cable loop.
23. Pull until the folding top stowage compartment lid latches are latched. Gently pull the red cable until the cables are the same length.
24. Repeat this process for the other side.
25. Ensure that the folding top stowage compartment lid is secure before driving the vehicle.
26. Install the tire inflator kit.
27. Return the seats to their original position.
28. Close the doors.

MANUALLY MOVING THE FOLDING TOP FROM THE CLOSED POSITION
1. Ensure that the ignition is OFF.

IMPORTANT: Verify that the rear compartment lid is fully closed prior to operating the folding top stowage compartment lid. Damage will occur if both lids are operated at the same time. When operating the folding top stowage compartment lid manually, use the aid of an assistant to help with lifting.

2. Open the doors.
3. Move the seats forward.




4. In the area behind the seats, locate the 2 sets of cables behind the carpet flaps. The cables on the driver's side are located behind the tire inflator kit. The tire inflator kit must be removed to access the cables.




5. Use the folding top manual release tool, located in the glove box, for the folding top latches and hook into the loop.

9. With the aid of an assistant, open the folding top stowage compartment lid.




10. With the aid of an assistant, raise the folding top stowage compartment lid extension panel upward.
11. Move the seats rearward.
12. Locate the header trim plug and remove by turning 90 degrees and pulling down.
13. Insert the folding top manual release loop into the center header latch to engage the splines of the center latching motor.




14. Rotate the folding top manual release tool clockwise to release the header latches.
15. Remove the folding top manual release tool.
16. Insert the header trim plug.
17. Grasp the folding top front panel and push rearward.




18. Ensure that the folding top panels engage the lower roof latches.
19. Grasp the folding top extension panel and lift to full extension.




20. Close the folding top stowage compartment lid.
21. Move the seats forward.




22. Use the folding top manual release tool for the folding top latches and hook into the red cable loop.
23. Pull until the folding top stowage compartment lid latches are latched. Gently pull the red cable until the cables are the same length.
24. Repeat this process for the other side.
25. Ensure that the folding top stowage compartment lid is secure before driving the vehicle.
26. Install the tire inflator kit.
27. Return the seats to their original position.
28. Close the doors.
