Folding Top Latch Replacement - Rear Upper

Removal Procedure

1. Cycle the folding top open 100 mm (4 in).
2. Stop the folding top at this point.
3. Remove the front headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.




4. Disconnect the folding top latch linkage from the latch striker.




5. Using a grease pencil or suitable marking device, mark the location of the fasteners to the folding top upper rear latch.




6. Remove the folding top rear upper latch fasteners.




7. Remove the folding top rear upper latch from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the folding top latch into the vehicle.




2. Install the folding top latch fasteners. Hand tighten only.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Align the folding top latch to the alignment marks.

Tighten the folding top latch fasteners to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

4. Connect the folding top latch linkage to the folding top latch striker.
5. Close the folding top.
6. Install the front headliner. Refer to Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement (Retractable Roof Headliner Front Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
7. Inspect the folding top for proper orientation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation.
