Folding Top Latch Replacement - Center

Removal Procedure





1. Cycle the folding top open.
2. Remove the windshield upper garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement) in Interior Trim.




3. Disconnect the center header latch linkages from the header latches.




4. Disconnect the wiring harness from the center header latch.




5. Remove the center header latch fasteners.
6. Lower the center header latch motor.




7. Remove the center header latch from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the center header latch into the vehicle.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the center header latch fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (88 lb in).





3. Connect the center header latch linkages to the header latches.




4. Connect the wiring harness connector to the center header latch.
5. Install the windshield upper garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement) in Interior Trim.
6. Close the folding top.
7. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation.
