DTC B3670

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The roof door module (RDM) monitors the temperature of the folding top pump motor at least once every 2 milliseconds. The RDM monitors the sensor low reference voltage from the folding top pump motor thermistor. As the folding top pump motor warms up, the thermistors resistance will decrease. When the RDM detects that the temperature is outside the valid ranges, a DTC is set.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
- The battery voltage is between 9.0-16.0 volts.
- The RDM is in Accessory, RUN, or RAP.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The RDM detects that the folding top pump motor temperature is out of range, above 100°C or below -50°C (212°F or below -50°F).

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
- Stores a current and history DTC B3670 in the RDM.
- The folding top operation is suspended.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
- This DTC will clear on the current status after the condition for setting the fault is corrected.
- A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present.
- History and current DTC can be cleared using the scan tool.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
The following conditions may cause an intermittent malfunction:
- There is an intermittent sticking or binding condition that can cause excessive current draw resulting in a temperature out of range.
- The folding top motor is shorted internally.

If the DTC does not reset after the code is cleared, then the switch may be the source of the intermittent fault.
