Rear Housing Disassemble

^ Tools Required
- J 23907 Slide Hammer With Bearing Adaptor
- J 26941 Bushing/Bearing Remover
- J 36511 Oil Plug Hex Bit
- J 36800 Shift Rail Bushing Remover

Important: Only remove the shift shaft bushing and shift shaft bearing if faulty.





1. Remove the retaining ring for the shift shaft bushing.
2. Remove the shift shaft bushing. The bushing will wiggle out with a pair of pliers.





3. Remove the shift shaft bearing using the J 23907 and the J 36800. Thread the J 36800 into the shift rail bearing.





4. Use the J 26941 and J 23907 in order to remove the main shaft seal.





5. Use the J 36511 in order to remove the oil drain plug, if equipped.
